Karl Knoll is a native of the Palatinate and has learned his trade in restaurants and hotels from scratch.
Most recently Mr. Knoll and his wife Silvia operated together the restaurant of the golf club "Schloss Vornholz" in Münsterland. Since May 2018, the couple runs the historic restaurant in the Kaiserhof, to make it after a few years of retirement finally back to what it always was - a quaint locality with wooden interior and regional, fresh cuisine.
As experienced hotel and restaurant operators, we know that a satisfied guest is our best advertisement - so our ultimate goal is to pamper each and every guest with a flexible and attentive service that is as personal and honest as our menu.
With only fresh dishes and enjoyment of service, we will revive the long-standing tradition in the magnificent ambience of the Zwinger to become the first address for fresh, regional cuisine in Eisenach!

Historical sequence of the hotel Kaiserhof Eisenach 1897 As new building under the name Kaiserhof opened by Gustav Franke. 1991 Nicholas Miller acquires the hotel from the Trust. Furthermore, the former restaurant rooms on the first floor will be transformed into a spacious hotel lobby with a bar and fireplace and two representative conference rooms. 1993 Reopening under the original name "Hotel Kaiserhof". 1993 Closing of the gap between old building and city gate with three shops on the ground floor, sauna area with massage, hairdresser, beauty salon. 1993 Completion of the Paulaner cellar restaurant "Der Zwinger". 1994 Renovation of the historic wine restaurant "Turmschänke" with a guest room in the Nicolaitor, the only surviving city gate from the Middle Ages.
